Worksop 11 - 8 Bingham
Worksop went away to Bingham in a rearrange league game knowing only a win would do. Worksop started the match without a proper warm up as a result of players turning up late due to traffic. Worksop again had to field a much changed side which resulted in players out of position, this was apparent from the kick off we pressure from the home side resulting in a penalty ten metres out which was kick to put Bingham 3-0 up. As the game went on Worksop started applying their kind of game with strong mauling by the forwards gave the backs plenty of options which were starting to have a great threat at the Bingham side. But with the hosts defending strongly and a changed back line things were beginning to get frustrated and again poor discipline allowed Bingham to keep clearing their lines.
As the first went on Worksop pressure resulted in a fine try when the forwards impressive ball control allowed stand in back rower S.Dickinson in for a well work try. The game was now going from one end of the pitch to the other with both sides playing good rugby trying to get the upper hand. A good break by D.Bowskill down the line with K.Parrott in hot pursuit nearly paid off but was spoiled just short of the line.

Worksop 7 - 57 Mansfield
Worksop travelled to Mansfield for a rearranged cup game that had to be postponed due to the weather before Christmas. Due to the set of the cup competitions this season Worksop had to play the game against a Mansfield side that was in the same league as Worksop 1st. Despite this Worksop went away in a confident mood of knowing they can play good rugby.
The game started with Worksop fielding a number of inexperienced players which resulted in Mansfield getting off to a flying start with two quick tries in the first ten minutes which were converted, then Worksop then lost veteran front rower N.Hopkinson who was still suffering from a virus. After Worksop shuffled the pack round things started to settle down and it wasn’t long before strong mauling allowed the back line to do some fine passing. Again and again Worksop kept pressuring the Mansfield line only to be stopped by what can only be described as very unusual refereeing decision which frustrated the pack to an extent it stopped them from competing for the ball.
